What if Jesus asked you today, “What do you want me to do for you?”

Imagine the ramifications of such a piercing question.

Two blind men know the answer.

In Matthew 20: 29-34, they cry out to Jesus, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”

At first, the crowd implores them to be quiet but they shout even louder.

“Way to go,” I say. “Shout louder!” Sometimes it is a really wise move to IGNORE the CROWDS telling us to be quiet.

Jesus, on the other hand, stops. Yep, he stops and calls to them, “What do you want me to do for you?”

Wow. The crowd rebukes and implores them to stop calling out to Jesus. They ignore the crowd and look what happens.

Their answer is so simple, “We want our sight.” Four little words.

Jesus, moved by compassion, touches their eyes and immediately they receive their sight.

What if . .  . Jesus walked by you today? Is there a crowd of voices in your head telling you to stop crying out to Jesus?

Please don’t stop. He hears your voice.

“What do you want me to do for you?” he asks.

What is your four-word response? I want my _______________.
