One Sure-fired Way to Add Peace and Calm to Your Day

One Sure-Fired Way to Add Peace and Calm to Your Day

Ok, it’s here. The holiday hustle and bustle. Lists of things to do. Places to be. Gifts to buy.

It’s a list that can go on and on an on.

So today I’m asking you to add one seemingly impossible thing to your list.

A little peace and quiet. Some calm moments.

One Sure-fired Way to Add Peace and Calm to Your Day

How, you might ask:

  1. Unplug for one minute. Two minutes. Possibly, even ten minutes. Just unplug that phone of yours. Put the computer down. Sit somewhere, even if it is in the bathroom (smile) and listen to the silence. Drink it in like a steaming hot cup of coffee or tea or hot chocolate. Sip it slowly. Savor how it tastes. Feel it warm up your body. Be mindful of how it smells, tastes, looks. Engage your senses and enjoy it. Then, wrap that all up and take it with you. When the hustle and bustle starts, remember that moment. Close your eyes and experience it again.

And, remember the words of John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

God gives us peace that the world cannot comprehend. It’s yours today. Receive and enjoy!
